Psalm 105

Psalm 105:8-11, 42

8 He remembers his covenant forever, the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations, 9 the covenant that he made with Abraham, his sworn promise to Isaac, 10 which he confirmed to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant, 11 saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan as your portion for an inheritance.”

42 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham, his servant.

God is the Covenant Keeper, our Merciful Benefactor. He has remembered His promise and not one word has failed. Joshua, reminding Israel how all has come to pass, says in Chapter 23 Verse 14, “And now I am about to go the way of all the earth, and you know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that not one word has failed of all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed.

May God grant in the hearts of Gatlin, and all His people, a constant disposition of remembrance that GOD HAS REMEMBERED HIS PROMISES!

God promised Adam, Eve, and the Serpent that Eve’s seed would crush the Serpents head. He Promised Abraham, an heir, blessings, a country… That seed is Jesus, the Heir of Abraham. Jesus has triumphed over Satan when He made peace with God by the blood of the cross on our behalf. This is our blessing, Christ Himself! By faith, through grace, we are united with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. Making us the offspring of Abraham, His servant, children of Jacob, His chosen ones! As for the country. It is the new Jerusalem, coming down from Heaven. But this kingdom is also here and now, in the redemptive rule and reign of Jesus Christ towards His bride. Where the Spirit of God abides in our hearts.

Beg of God to bring to remembrance all His marvelous deeds… HE HAS REMEMBERED HIS PROMISES!

Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! 2 Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! 3 Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice! 4 Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually! 5 Remember the wondrous works that he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he uttered, 6 O offspring of Abraham, his servant, children of Jacob, his chosen ones!
